Honestly, though, I still say Icari/Kryska is canon. I mean, we all know she's waaaay more tsundere for Kryska than Kayto.

From what I read, I'm glad to see that Alliance seems more and more threatening than ever... Grey should be the perfect vilain, seizing the paradox core for his own sake.

Though don't you think there's something strange in that topic ? Asaga acting strangely after she used her hidden power ? Never noticed. Asaga and Chigara being less and less friends ? Same thing.

I... kind of noticed Asaga and Chigara being more distant at the beach. It's more clear in her thoughts that Asaga doesn't feel as close to Chigara because they're both attracted to Kayto.

About Asaga getting more distant from Chigara, I don't remember exactly when happens, but I recall Chigara telling Kayto that Asaga was behaving differently than her usual self, spending more time with the simulator and such. Then comes Asaga and sure enough, she seems to be in a bit of a hurry to get away from her (saying she needs to complete more scenarios from the simulator).

Like I said, I'm not sure if that happens after the first time she uses her powers.

That happens before because MoA ends after Asaga uses her power.

I think Asaga uses her powers twice: the first time to make some Porkchop BBQ (one of her eyes glows) and the second time at the end of MoA (both eyes glow).

Asaga and Chigara grow a little distant, but it's very subtle, so it's hard to understand if it's because Kayto or due to Asaga turning more "serious", but that she's uncomfortable around her when the theme of coversation is the captain it's fairly clear. I actually put the "serious" change more to Asaga realizing she has a duty after the whole thing with Ryuvia and befriending Sola, but if it's more her power it's also OK (though a little bit of a bummer: I always found character development through "hidden powers" fairly lazy).
Why can only the evil have empires, power and majestic theme music? I reclaim the possibility of creating the Federal-democratic-free Empire! A (democratic) tyranny fueled by the Power of Love!

Wow, I absolutely love the character art for Asaga, Icari, and Claude!  And the backgrounds... I like 'em.  They'll certainly help with the writing...

Speaking of writing; hilarious description of Claude. 

Day just got 100% better, although I'm noticing an inverse relationship with my studying capabilities.  Coincidence?  I think not.

On the series thing:
It seems it will be a direct continuation for Sunrider, but specifically not Rebirth of the Holy empire. I'm thinking probably that it will be a heavy expansion (or maybe an alternate telling of the same thing, a la Muv Luv) of some event we will see at the beginning of Holy Empire, and address the plot-hole that creates on this continuity the Sola Academy arc.

The best way to think of it is as ME 2 story DLC (I forgot the name), which was set just after ME 2, contained (very) important details of the plot and setting, but could be skipped and pass directly from ME2 to ME3.


You mean "Arrival", the one set in Batarian space?
Might be something similar, but there's a big difference: Arrival and ME 2 or ME 3 take place at completely different times of the history. We are told at the end of MoA we will have to fight at Cera in the sequel...

I might look somehow disrespectful, but I can't say I'm happy to see the series dragging on so much. I've no right to complain, but... Seriously? Two spin-offs out of a trilogy? Moreover, the longer the series goes, the higher the probability it bores me gets.
I actually wouldn't mind to see the developers trying something completely different, both in terms of gameplay and story.

Art looks brilliant, though, and I'm sure I'll see at least some interesting gameplay development.
So... Sorry but I can't be as enthusiast as I thought I would have been :P

personally im still ok since overall the development speed is very fast compared to some stuff im still waiting on ANY news.

But I do agree that many people won't find it ok with spinoffs coming out and main series not progressing.

Reason I say and think this way is because of this.

Sunrider - persona 3
2 - persona 4
academy - arena and ultimax (as in completely new genre)
this - Q (as in same genre but probably different universe story and gameplay)
3- persona 5  (long waited sequal)
and as you can tell, ATLUS with help of index sega and arc systems etc, did most of those projects simultaneously by having multiple teams. sadly Sola can't clone space whales yet so we only have one whale over worked :D

But I will say that I prefer spinoff to happen between main series, rather than main series ending fast and then 3-4 spinoff follows. its preference stuff but I see this like they are relying on their hit product too much and not making something new.
if they do it in between, kinda shows their relaxed development state and expending possibilities of a franchise.

sounds very evil and biased but i am that kind of person when it comes to guessing what developers do.

Wow... the art improvement is awesome! I really love the design on Ava, Sola, & Icari! The background is also a huge improvement. Man, can't wait to see the final product. 8)

It's also worth mentioning that the development team needs to eat too; the initial funds raised by their kickstarter proposal probably didn't go halfway far enough to see the entire project through.  Makes sense to produce spin offs to keep your team funded while you work on a project that's essentially forfeited any prospects of financial gain with its kickstarter pledge.

I say all of that without judgement.  Frankly, I'd rather Love in Space charge for spin offs than have to leave Sunrider incomplete.
