Madoka Magica. I said that didn't I?

Oh, I took that out while editing my post to make it coherent. My friends enjoyed it quite a bit.

Hello Everyone!

It is PixelFade Studios. We received quite a number of backers directed from this forum so we thought we'd come by and express our appreciation. :)

I did want to mention that our reception on Steam Greenlight has actually been significantly more positive based on the "Yes"/"No" statistics. There are a few unpleasant comments but thankfully that is a minority.

If you guys have any questions, please feel free to ask and we'll do our best to answer!

Thanks Again,
PixelFade Studio

The KS community is already small so it's not too surprising.

And suddenly, I had a vision of the future, in which every Kickstarter-based visual novel obtains a subsection on this forum. And none of them have anything to  with space.

On a more serious note, I haven't checked out the demo for this game yet, though I did download it. Currently dealing with video card and monitor issues, which leave me incapable of viewing red. Planning to give it a shot as soon as I fix the issues. Not that I have any money to back anything with currently, but at least I'll be able to provide some feedback.

Weeell, if you want to get REALLY technical about it, every story of a VN takes place somewhere. That place it most likely a planet, orbiting some star.... IN SPACE! There, crisis averted.  :D

It is also not hard to google your games name and find topics and stuff on other sites / forums / whatever either.

I only made this because, well, people here like VNs I'd assume. I've also linked the Greenlight page way back too in case I forgot to say anything. I dunno if I'll back this game or not yet... I may wait for it to come out or just hope to god they do a paypal backer option like they did a few other games I sadly couldn't back on time.

We need to add more proxies :D.

Checked the backers of Kendo Crush! I've found one Asaga and one Ava :D, and few other Sunrider backers.

Or they can change the title to Lightsaber Crush! The story take place in a Jedi Academy on Yavin IV. For the bad ending, the character turned to the dark side and become Sith Lord.

Or they change it to Kendo Effect.
Epic space journey with Commander Protag and his mighty crew spanning over a trilogy of games.
The ending being somewhat anti-climatic as everything you did lead to what colour your shirt is.
Also everyone loves Bali and Farrus.

So, since the creator of this game took his/her time to actually show up in this forum and promote the game. I have to at least try the demo version. Here is my impression after I finished the demo:

Good:
1. I like the character animations, they look alive with all the blinking eyes, and great facial emotions.
2. I also like those emoji bubbles.
3. The music is good.
4. QTE fighting game. It's quite well executed.
5. I love the cooking part, it reminds me of Persona 4 when you need to prepare for tomorrow bento.

Bad:
1. They mixed some Japanese in the dialogue. Why do they have to use Kiritsu, Rei, Chakuseki instead of Stand, Bow, Sit? Imagine if you watch Lord of the Rings and they don't translate the Elven language... I do approve using Japanese for some of the Kendo terms, but at least they should have give a note about what it means.
2. If they really aim to be more Japanese, they should at least pronounce Karate in Japanese and not the English pronounciation.
3. The younger sister refer to the protagonist as Onii-chan....and big brother. Well, it's not changed that often, but I do prefer some consistency.
4. The game asked about some details on Kendo, and the answer options has some Japanese term without explanation whatsoever.
5. You can learn how to set a typical Japanese dinner table. The game asked you where the position of the rice bowl, soup bowl, and chopsticks are. Of course some of you will say that this is a good point. But what if I tell you that they're having Ramen for dinner? Of course I'm not Japanese, and maybe real Japanese would love to have their ramen with a bowl of rice and soup. Oh yeah, we can actually choose what's for dinner, so maybe that question is actually set for the other dinner menu option, which is Spaghetti....

Final verdict from the demo:
The creator of this game has put quite a lot of effort to make this a great game. However, I think they're trying too hard to fit in as much Japanese culture / details in this game as they can. They should cut back on the details and focus more on the story. Will I back this game? Maybe, I'll wait until the last 48 hours, and see what kind of updates they have for this game.

edit:
There is not even one bit of fanservice in the demo, which is quite disappointing :D

edit 2:
Almost forgot to mention, that there is a reference to Star Wars in this game. So, Lightsaber Crush! is not a far fetched idea :D

Yeah, it seems way too Japanese culture orientated...

I hate QTEs, soooo sooo much... I don't think I'd back this game now knowing what I know about the demo

Didn't notice a few posts here. Replied accordingly :3

What the heck was the class, "Porn Drawing 101"?
Digital Arts but it was free drawing time so you can draw whatever you want in Photoshop.

Welcome to Hentai Academy :D

You mean Artificial Academy?  :P
This was in High School and I think a few girls did get pregnant BEFORE they graduated so
it's not wrong... (This happened ages ago.)

Oh-ho! That's where you're wrong.
I actually used to have friend who loves Yaoi.
She drew it on occasion and I loved to tease her about it.
The hentai girl broke her leg by falling off of a stool. Skills people.

You all must have went to school with some.....interesting people.  The worst Gorchnik saw during his education days were people drawing stick figures with boobs on them just be funny.  Or a note passed around to induce much giggling among the female population.
This was an Art Program that I entered. We played Egyptian Rat Screw and Pythagoras(BS in math class). Both are card games.

I've never in my life met those kinda people thank god.
And you're a black cat and I'm the white cat? :3

Are you sure you never met those kind of people? You seems happy enough walking around with that blonde haired girl, and that other girl with glasses. Your clubmate (also a girl with glasses), loves to imagine other male clubmates doing some Yaoi stuff to each other ;)

*just pretends they never existed*

 :-\
Such a black cat. Going for the harem ending I see...

The only thing I had was some guy in high school that I knew who carried a binder filled with loli hentai...yeah.

Why am I the only one that went to a normal school?

I was maybe the nerdiest person in my year and I never ever considered doing anything like that. I think I brought one dvd to school once to show my friends but that was the biggest thing ever to happen while I was there. Watched it on a laptop in gaming club.
Don't you like being normal? You mean it seem like being abnormal IS normal.

That aside, my friends and I were rebels and we set up a card table in math class. Teacher didn't care since we have a better average in the class and could still answer questions even when playing cards. Ah such fun times doing "hard" math classes and rocking on card games.

I've backed this game, and I hope I didn't make a mistake. I guess time will tell what Cleverbot-sama meant by "Only if there is a moon".

From what I remember from the last time I went outside, there is indeed a moon. Therefore, you likely made the correct choice.

Unless someone blew it up again.
