The world grew light once more, the time known as dawn finally upon the desens of the forum. It would seem one of their number was missing...Nothing left but a pile of suspiciously clothed corn.  By the footprints in the mud the culprit seems to have stalked the corn buttering up his friends so they wouldn’t talk before cutting him loose with a swift blow to the cob. With this data in hand it became clear to those looking around that the dead man was The duke, and his Identity was in fact...

Duke Rockhopper was a town aligned Geocorn.

That aside the remaining members seem to be in good stead. Some gaining less sleep than others, but that’s to be expected~ The members themselves are welcomed to a fancy dining room set up in the towering heights of the general forum. The once great pillar of posts that is the rp thread lies abandoned in the distance with the image spam thread and spam thread slowly climbing to its height as the days go by. Oddly the tables and stage here seem not to be made of mergews. Though the fact the flowers are made of paper seems to suddenly make people aware that the chairs seem extremely light...and that the cutlery is painted onto the table…’Welcome survivors to the second day of hyperia. Today is much like yesterday except it seems that in memory of the departed Puns are on the agenda instead of memes…’ The mergew begins to regret this decision before it even takes effect. ‘Oh, also this time the day shall end at 9:00 October 7th NZT.’ The Mergew then looks at Geo for a sec before changing the mask he wears a little.

So, I guess Duke went out with a POP!

((The only regret I have with that day, is that it's not in French. I love pun, but making English ones is hard.))

"I guess Duke's plant food, fufufu~! But seriously, this is no laughing matter. Even if he is plant matter." Suzuha said, unsure if she should laugh or cry. She'd endured a lot, and she'd become resistant to sorry, but still, this was quite bad news. "Anyway, as I said, I went to see 'John Titor', AKA 'Arraxis' - who is very smart and talented, I might add - but they weren't home. Did I mention that I'm not a time traveller? I felt like it was time to remind you."

"Duke  is dead?!!?"

Thinking that making jokes and puns about the deceased is something of poor taste, like punching a koala in the face or not saying "G'day!" to your neighbour, the figure decides to play along only to try and cheer up the gathered people a bit...

That's my power, just going around, being noticed by tracker/watcher and becoming suspicious for no reason.

"Well, aren't you a humble and handsome one "Arraxis", AKA , "Titor" .

(OOC: it's going to be funny  trying to make sense of who we are refering to when I'm "you" and you are "me")

"As you might already know, you are a person who tends to think outside the box, consider the actions of your opponents in a mafia game , and alltogether, pay a lot of attention to the so called metagame. You've taken it quite far in previous games, targeting the so called "dangerous" players first, dwelling on the numbers and skills to decypher the possible roles your friends & opponents may have and directly killing non-collaborative team members or lurkers. "

"Now, keep that in mind and think back to the previous game we had...Neptunia . Remember who got gibbed, even strongmaned, on Night 1 ? This handsome lad right here who is RPing you.  Besides a one-shot skill, that fits your metagaming paranoia nicely, I can commute (it does have some restrictions and penalties though), aka, "get out of the  game" , which also suits your "Out-of-the-box" thinking style. And really, I wanted to make it to day 2 at least..., seeing as the other skill could do more harm than good or simply be wasted."

"Finally some action."

*Throws the book down. Jumps into the air and lands perfectly on their feet.*

"It was getting boring anyway. So. What have we got here? 2 people claiming the same Role? No. I think not.
We have, and most likely will continue to have, multiple people who can Visit other people. This means nothing. Just as a Mafia member can 'Visit' a player before they're killed, a Doctor can 'Visit' another to save them.
If we want to proceed with this Lynch Train, I suggest that we allow our good friend here, 'Rev,' (Meta) declare his Role first.

Since we're META-gaming, let me throw this out. We had 11 players. Rounding up to 12 and dividing by 3, we have 4 Scum with 7 Townies as the remainder.
I'll even throw out some guesses as to what roles exist:
Hider, Detective, Commuter, Watcher, Vigilante, Doctor (no Bodyguard for game balance), and let's say a Double Voter for Town.
Bomber(or a timed death of some type), Godfather, and let's say Silencer.
We may or may not have a third party, but if we did, I'll guess a killing role and not a passive role.
If we did have another Mafia member, it'd have to be something that counters a particular Townie role like a Ninja for the Watcher, or a Strongman for the Doctor."

"And I'm going to mark 'YBuy' as suspicious for trying to muddle the matter. 'Meta' claimed his only ability was to visit. That's all. Specifically saying as such. That's exactly what my ability is. This isn't a matter of semantics. He outright claimed exactly my role and so I'm sure Meta is Metfia"

It's funny, because I was also told I was a "compulsive visitor." I let my "target" get randomized this night, and ended up blocked by some yahoo. Probably someone with meta's role, since I was apparently blocked by spaghetti...

Oh, yeah, pun...
Poor corny g rocky. He was a good egg, possibly a rhode island red.

i dont know any good english puns to befit this situation sadly.

Pal was acting suspicious yesterday, so i confined him as my role is jailor. also, still seems mighty suspicious that a compulsive visitor was being so quiet. tu as perdu ta langue?

((Please don't take it as suspicious that I'm RPing differently now. Somebody told me the wrong role but I'm not naming names.))

Y Rev: Hmm...seems like lots of rando stuff happened last night. @$#%'n horrible that Duke Geo bit the dust, but perhaps now we can sort through all of it to pick out kernels of truth >>

First off, I hate to admit, but based upon the footprints found on the scene, I dont think we are dealing with no weasels here. Well, unless they are humanoid shape shifting weasels or perhaps...something more nefarious.   Im not sure what, but until we get more info about our enemy, ill keep watching reruns of the X-Files to get ideas of what we might be up against. As for what intel we collectively got last night..I just dont know who to trust.

Frankly, you were LUCKY AS FUCK Metaocre Rev - i just so happened chose to not prepare a perimeter defense last night. Look mate, had I, you would have enjoyed a bunch of 5.56 in that gloriously fabulous face of yours. Still,  I know you've had your fun with Imca in the past, but hands off Nachi if you know whats best for you! Y Rev looks off camera to the Imca pointing Var at him with a scowl in the Mafia thread. With a quiver of his shaking knees, he soundlessly mouths 'Please dont hurt me' to his rather....temperamental waifu.

I will say that we should focus on either Metaocre Rev and Johnaxis today. Both claiming to have a similar role frankly could be some sort of evil collusion - sorta like how the Federal Government refuses to admit that Obama is a foreign born  terrorist that wants to know what porn you are downloading. Ill have you know, ITS MY @#$#^  'MURICAN right to jerk off to Nekopara without no Feds watching!  FREEDOM BITCHES! Y Rev begins to randomly shoot his M4 into the air! At the very minimum, I think both needed to be watched carefully. As for Sodium-Free Yerne, he does bring up an interesting point on helping. Other than my role and ?corn's role of jailer, we dont have enough intel about what people can do. Once we do, we might get a clue about whatever we're up against.
Milten [Sep 13, 2016, 03:31:18 pm]:   Come on, Rev's soul is 99% lewd, 1% Kurumi
