Mike, I hope to god you never get rid of Gil as your Archer support... he is an absolute life saver for the 40AP quests.

Gil is a very good Servant. Quite useful. I wouldn't trade Jack for him, though :D

Just finished the prologue(Singularity F), got to lv10, and now lvling some servants... and here comes the hard part: in which ones  should i spend the few itens i got so far? Well not like I have much options lol, but i want to make sure im not spending the few itens i got in the wrong place.

Right now im lvling up Carmilla (the only 4 star i got), Mash, Euryale, Medea and Medusa. I got a Fergus too but from what i have read I decided not to lv him up. Is it the right thing to do? Or shouldnt I even worry about it, since i got like only one or two copies of each and its not like Im lvling them up all the way to a high lv, just lv 10-15ish.

I did have a look on fgo wikia and the comments in there, looks like some ppl are desperated for a lved up Euryale to defeat a certain Gawain or something... which made me wonder, are there quests in the game that you MUST use a certain servant? And if you dont have her, or she is low lv, you simply screwed?

I have been looking for other players opinions in other places too, but i want to know what u guys have to say. Thank you in advance for the help!

In the end, you CAN win pretty much everything, no matter who you use. There are certain Servants that make things easier, and certain missions are a lot less difficult with a given person- for instance, Euryale helps in certain cases, like you said- but generally you can make do with whoever you like.

Mash is amazing, the best tank ever, and she only gets better as time goes on. Her skills upgrade cheap, so it's worth maxing them eventually, and she costs nothing to field, freeing space for other Servants and better Craft Essences.

Euryale, as stated, is great against males, and single target NPs are generally good for boss fights anyway. She'll do well against all Sabers, not just male ones. Her ability to charm can also be really great, and a NP boost skill can also come in handy, especially if you manage to get a Kaleidoscope.

Medea is practically broken. Level her NP gain skill just a couple times and she can go from 0 to 100 with just that. I'd say the spammable NP and multitude of Arts cards is worth the investment by itself. Though Elvis loves Arts teams, so it may be more or less appealing depending on how you structure your party~

Medusa is great for farming, especially if you have no other AOE Rider, or you wanna focus on quick cards and crits. Plus she's kinda cute and lovable. I'd say the free Santa Alter you can get from the Christmas event right now might be better, but she's worth the time as well, in my opinion! Even among other 3* Riders, they all do something different. Ushi is single target, Boudica is defense, and I dunno what Alexander does since I never used him but Medusa definitely has her uses. Especially once you start farming doors, or on Caster EXP days.

As for Fergus, he CAN be useful. Mostly because he has three Buster cards and a Buster NP, while NOT being a Berserker. That's exceedingly rare, and I'm not sure there are any other non-Berserkers with that set. So you could put him in a Buster team and expect him to last a bit longer than most of the other members there. Is he worth it, for that? I dunno, since I don't personally use him.

In the end, it all comes down to YOUR playstyle, and who matches it. As well as who you just happen to like, since Elvis feels this is the most important part~

On an unrelated note why are all of Jack's bond lines so leeewd maybe Elvis just has a dirty mind

Hm i see, ty for our opinion Elvis! What i didnt like in fergus is that he relies heavily on damage to be useful, and usually these kind of characters are good against weak enemies, but when you rly need a good servant vs bosses they let you down.

Also, there is something that im not rly sure how it works, the essence buffs. I guess I should lv them up to max before using it? Im basically fusing all 1/2 stars essences in the shroud of magdalene  before applying it - 25% def against male enemies + extra HP does sounds appealing. Or can you remove an essence after you apply it, lv it up then apply again? Also looks like the only way to lv up an essence is feeding it with other essences? And hm since Euryale sounds like a male killer, I guess I should apply the shroud of magdalene on her.

(by the way it looks kinda funny to discuss fgo with our FE Mafia avatars. Feels like Serra asking Matthew hints for a fate game LOL)

Well, you can equip and upequip CEs at any time, to anyone. You can also level them up no matter what state they're in- equipped or unequipped. There are two ways to improve them, one is increasing their level, which will raise the health and/or attack they give the Servant they're equipped to. The other is to fuse five copies into one, which will limit break it and make the effect itself stronger. For instance, a CE that gives Quick +15% might limit break to give Quick +20% or even +25%. Though, limit breaking a 4* or 5* CE might take some time, and sometimes it's worth more to keep them separate.

Once Santa Salter is available, have her both on your own team and with someone else’s Santa Salter as support, and you’ll immediately get +8 socks per drop (on top of whatever other else you get from other bonus units).

Make sure you get the buckets of chicken first. Those are Santa's ascension mats, and being able to get her to 80 is far more important than a slightly stronger NP.

YMMV, but unless you have a level capped, fully Fou boosted party, you're probably only want to do the 50 AP run once for the Lore, then stick with the 40 AP run for either the stars or socks.

If you can outfit your party for +15 socks with 5 of the Jeanne CE for 100% bonus socks drop rate, you'd average 160 socks per 40 AP run (15×8 bonus on top of 5×8), or roughly 800 socks every 200 AP... Or to work backwards, you'd need a guaranteed 200 socks per 50 AP run for the same efficiency, which is much harder due to the variety of enemy servants you'd face (a little bit of bad luck will cost you command spells, quartz, or AP).

Yeah, after facing that party, I'm gonna be sticking with the 40AP for farming. Considering it mandates certain Servants for sock bonuses, and the variety of enemies you mentioned, you're going to have a hard time.
