Project Asaga Quest: A Unity Game Prototype
« on: January 08, 2015, 03:45:53 am »
I've been learning Unity and tried my hand at making a shmup like game.
It's still very basic, but hopefully playable.

Old versions.  Still waiting for them to expire.
Version 1 (January 7)
Version 2 (January 12)

Latest version.
Version 3

Arrow or WASD to move
Z-Pulse- Fires projectiles with a spread
X-Assault- Fires projectiles in a straight line
C-Laser- Costs energy, deals a lot of damage
V-Melee- Costs energy, hits projectiles, deals a lot of damage to ryders

Special thanks to Samu-kun for being awesome and letting me use the assets!

Nice. Not my type of game, but still pretty good.

Good job! It was however a sad reminder of how much I suck at bullet hell games. I think I barely had reached 600 points before my health was on the last fourth...

So, I used my good traits to quickly find that if you put yourself in the lowest corner and don't stop shooting you're invincible. And I racked more than 3000 points to show that game that reflexes mean nothing if you have a quicker mind. Muahahaha. Yeah, it's very sad, I know.
Why can only the evil have empires, power and majestic theme music? I reclaim the possibility of creating the Federal-democratic-free Empire! A (democratic) tyranny fueled by the Power of Love!

Still fun, for the half a minute I lasted.

1st time playing- oh wait what was the controls again ahhhh *dies*

2nd time playing -  3280. assault op as always.

the fact that I have beaten the glorious gorchy

tho i dont see a point of asking for this game to be upgraded
1. enemy should spawn in I think, wave makes it harder but it is kinda weird when u have 1 enemy shooting at you for a long time not hitting you cuz their routine is bit off from the corner.
2. missiles. all sidescroller shooter has bombs!
3. bicycle or Maray kicking kayto. we need Maray crash!

------
i was sure lord had points somewhere at 2650.

I feel ashamed at his glory now for testing it

------

4240 on pulse only.
time to try assault only to prove my theory... (?)

Because everyone was thinking it.

Unfortunately, regular updates are going to be difficult, unless someone knows a free and convenient way host to host Unity web builds and easily modify the files.

I'll be honest, I wasn't going to die. you can just sit in the lower left corner and hold down the left mouse button and you won't die.

EDIT: they will still hit you occasionally. I'll report back once I die.

Please be careful not to fall into any holes in reality caused by my reality hole generator. If you do fall in though, I can assure you that there will be no adverse side effects except for the following: instantaneous mutation, loss of 1 or more vital organs, turning into banana pudding, amnesia, loss/growth of 1 or more limbs, additional vital organs, loss of DNA, insanity, hallucinations, destruction of the fabric of space and time, redundancy, redundancy, a craving for apples, the ability to see shinigami, for females: an erection lasting more than 4 hours, for males: extremely painful menstrual cramps, testicular inversion, gender swapping, the urge to watch my little pony, and/or death

thats how i hit 9k tho. stand still, shoot straight and assault's dps kills them before they get a chance.

only time they shoot is if 2 of them come at same time, where 1 tanks while other manages to shoot before dying.

which I will simply shift up or down and return.

I actually made a macro to hold hold down the mouse button because I didn't want to do it myself (thank you programming knowledge)
