There are many alternate universes. In theory, everyone can take part in Ava route)

You mean everyone is setting me up with Ava? lol
But I guess that's okay. She was a good character to start with and since the character development she is even more likable in my personal opinion. We will see how events go.

Speaking of events, I will probably be making my mission choice later today.

YES. Everyone is shipping you with Ava, you just realized that now? Go get her Whalecow! lol.

Anyways, Cosette will take a while to reach Legion, I'll deal with it in a short post later during or near the end of your mission. Or maybe as you are starting the mission? I'll see how it goes later after I read the rest of the other's posts, after that Cosette will be back with the ADF, which will be a load off my shoulders... -_-

Okay, so... mission choice.

(Whalecow leaves the hangar immediately after the "briefing", headed up to the bridge to begin the operation. Which one, Ava wonders, as she follows at his heels.)

Ava: Sir?
Whalecow: Yeah, XO?
Ava:Well... where are we going? As first officer I reserve the right to be made aware of all relevant decisions of great consequence in accordance with procedure and...
Whalecow: The Library.
Ava: ...necessity in order of import-
(She stops, just registering what the captain had said and being a bit surprised.)
Whalecow: (notes her sudden silence as the corridor echoes quietly with the sound of their footfalls on the floor.) Your silence implies either shock or speechlessness, possibly both.
Ava: Just wondering why you'd pick some library over direct action against an enemy target.
Whalecow: A few reasons. The first being that I don't want to end up having to kill Alliance citizens.
Ava: (glares) You're an idiot.
Whalecow: (stops walking and turns to her, waiting for what the reason is *this* time.) ...
Ava: Do you really think we're going to be able to get anything done with you dragging your feet for the sake of "absolute morality"? There's a war on... or there's about to be... and we CAN'T be too paralyzed by a policy of absolute righteousness if we're going to make it.
Whalecow: Ava, please... don't sound like Grey. Call me an idiot, hate me for life, leave me in Legion's time of great need... but don't act like him. Please...
Ava: No, I... I-I didn't mean it like that. All I meant was that we need to be willing to do what it takes to keep the galaxy together. It's our last line of defense, not our first. All other options MUST be considered before that one.
Whalecow: Oh... Yeah. I suppose I knew what you meant. Sorry...
(With that he continues walking. Ava grabs his shoulder to bring him to a halt.)
Ava: Captain, what are the other reasons for choosing the library over the convoy?
Whalecow: Just one. Importance.
Ava: I see. If that technological intel gets into the wrong hands...
Whalecow: No, Ava. It's so much more than that. If there IS information on Void tech, we need to make sure it is acquired and dealt with in the best way possible.
Ava: Meaning?
Whalecow: Dead men tell no tales. Miss Crescentia. And the goal here is to avoid having tales to tell... or keeping our lips sealed. And as always, discretion is advised. Ultimately however, Legion and her crew must be there to ensure the completion of the mission. They're sporting Ryuvian tech. That facility's automated defenses, I mean.
Ava: So ultimately, you're choosing that assignment because you want it done right?
(Whalecow only nods at her and continues on toward the bridge. Ava sighs and follows after him... Bearing in mind she has just over a week to either accept that commission for Sunrider II or pass it up... indefinitely. As they approach the bridge, Velora's voice can be heard over the intercom.)
Velora: (comm) All hands, prepare for departure. We are shipping out for Nielson's Nebula. Jump in T-minus 5 minutes. All battle-stations and ryder wings, move up to condition yellow.
Ava: How did she know where we were headed? Does she really know you that well?
Whalecow: Well, she's been one of my closest comrades-in-arms since they took Hephaestus out of mothballs and put her under my command. Heh. Been about four and a half years now. But the answer to your question is probably a no. I sent her a message ahead of time.
Ava: Ah. Well we have certainly have quite a team when they're not all acting unbelievable as hell.
Whalecow: (laughs) I hear you including yourself.
Ava: (eyes wide, cheeks reddening slightly) U-unbelievable!
(Whalecow chuckles again as they reach the doors to the bridge and he pushes the button to open them. They activate with a hiss.)
Velora: Captain on the bridge!
Inwhaleably yours,
Whalecow

Oh, and I almost forgot about my post, here. Sorry for the delayed of the post. But at least I posted it.

The Matchstick, The Powder Keg And also A Nuclear Reactor
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Prince option. "The Matchstick , The Powder Keg And also A Nuclear Reactor"
Torpedo Cruiser Kitakami, docked with The Torpedo Space Station, orbiting over Torpedo planet.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

KTKM and The Mighty Helmsman is currently watching Whalecow's briefing in the monochrome monitor. Due to the lack of budget and the lack of import-, some screen monitor in the Torpedo dealer group are Far-away-space built monochrome screen. Designed by Doktor Aleksy Kuchekov, the cheif engineer of Torpedo dealer group. (At this point, KTKM wonder why this old man can design Weapon of mass destruction, a torpedo that can blow up half of the planet, and a Space ICBM that can bring gigantic warhead to blow up the sun. but still cannot invent a single LCD screen at all.) You can guess how Whalecow look like in a crappy 60's monochrom TV with low-quality sound. That is what KTKM and the Mighty Helmsman watching right now.

After the briefing end. It's time for disscussion.

Helmsman: So....What is our next mission, sir?

KTKM: Asteroid Cluster Epsilon-327, The Alliance convoy.

Helmsman: W-what!? but...why?

KTKM: Jeez, didn't you read the title of this post? It said I am taking the prince option, remember?

Helmsman: What title, sir?

KTKM: Ah...Oh, nothng. I just break the fourth wall...Well, ignore this. Let's get back to our conversation.

Helmsman: So, why do we choose to go to the Alliance convoy?

KTKM: Easy, remember what I always said?

Helmsman: Uh....."Armor is unnecessary safety feature"?

KTKM: Not that one, damnit. Another one.

Helmsman: ...Hm...uh..."Our main goal is profit"?

KTKM: Yeah, that's one. Remember, we join the ADF because we need good reputation AND Profit. We have no interest in saving galalxy from bad guys or make peace or keep freedom or anything at all. I mean, seriously, do they think they can just make the galaxy in peace by just doing something like this. Pfff.

Helmsman:....So how does this mission make a profit?

KTKM: Oh, easy. I'll explain to you later. But for now, call Mr. Cutter for me.

Helmsman: ...huh?

KTKM: Remember that pirate leader that called themself "Havoc" from our last mission? Cutter and Switchblade. They are going to be need on our mission.

Helmsman: Wait, wait. Sir, don't we have a face-to-face FTL comunication system over there?

KTKM: Kuchekov broke it a day ago, comrade. That old man's inventation always broke anything nearby, (sight) Now we only have FTL-Telephone left. So now, call them for me.

Helmsman: ...Alright.

Helmsman pick up a FTL-Telephone, and call the pirate leaders for his captain.

?????: *Beep* *beep*, oh, Hello? Who is this and what the hell do you want?

Helmsman: It is a pleasure to meet you again. Mister Cutter. The chairman of Torpedo dealer group company have a request to speak with you.

Cutter(telephone): Chairman of.....what? you mean who?

KTKM: Ah, comrade. Give me the phone. (Speak to the phone) Hello? It's me! The ADF rep.

Cutter(telephone):...ADF rep...Oh! Hohoho!  Alrighttttt, hey! How things goin' Mr.rep?

KTKM: Not much, not much. Hey, listen Mr. Cutter, My transmission system is broken so I need to call you from my telephone-......Uh, I mean voice-only transmission,  It's pay phone So I'll make it quick since It's a pay phone. Listen,  I got a work for you.

Cutter(telephone): A work?

suddenly, Switchblade, another Pirate (or now, former pirate) leader appear in the phone too.

Switchblade(voice from telephone): Who are you talking to, Cutter?

Cutter(voice from telephone): Hey, It's that ADF rep. That torpedo guy, don't ya remember?

Switchblade(voice from telephone): Ask him if there's any news from Ms. Nozomi, okay?

Cutter(voice from telephone): 'kay, man! (talk to KTKM) so back to our business, what da ya mean 'bout work, again?

KTKM: Remember about "Privateer" that I was talking about? I got privateer job for you.

Cutter(voice from telephone): Privateer job huh? (talk to Switchblade) Hey, man. You gonna need to come and see this, ah, I mean listen to this.

Switchblade(voice from telephone): about Ms. Nozomi or something?

Cutter(voice from telephone): Nah, It's about job. (talk to KTKM) 'kay, Switchblade is here too. Now explain us how we can help!

KTKM: Okay, It's not much. Just some convoy raiding and capture ship. We need you to attack the Alliance convoy in Asteroid Cluster Epsilon-327 , Galactic Sector D-5.

Cutter(voice from telephone): Alliance convoy? But that's a well-guard on-....

Switchblade(voice from telephone): Listen there, if you are going to ask us for to do this for a favor, then the aswer is 'no'. Why we help you before is to "demonstration of our capabilities". Yes, we will be glady to help. But not for this.

KTKM: Then how about if we pay you? Of course, we wouldn't let you do for free for such a risk mission like this. We will 'transfer' additional funds to support the Havoc group.

Switchblade(voice from the telephone): Pay? .........How much the payment.

KTKM: (laugh) ahahaha! I know you gonna interest in this this, how about 70,000 credits?

Switchblade(voice from telehone): (grin) too little for attacking a convoy with well-armed escort.

KTKM: You gonna need to capture only some ships, my friend. Only some of them.

Cutter(voice from telephone): Wait...how?

KTKM: Here's the plan. We wouldn't need to destroy everything. Our main objective is the frieghter in the fleet. As you probably know that every escort fleets are usually have small ship like Destoryer, frigate, Light Cruiser, or whatever Alliance use. And usually put these kind of ships near the freighter. Our plan is, we will attempt to knock out that small ship, and by the word 'knock' I mean to just knock out the engine, or made it need to anchor to repair. The fleet has plenty of ship, so they wouldn't just wait for some small ships to repair, and the convoy need to hurry to deliver supply. So they'll just go and let that small ship repair alone.

Switchblade(voice from telephone): So how will you knock out that ship? and what are we need to do next?

KTKM: Easy, Asteroid.

Cutter(from telephone): Asteriod?

KTKM: Yep. Here in Torpedo dealer group company, our Cheif engineer and rocket scientist, Aleksy Kuchekov, is skilled in redirecting asteriod. He can just use his probe to grab an asteriod, use his rocket-powered probe to adjust the way of asteriod, and you know the momentum in space, right? The asteriod will still going even without the probe power it. And boooom!  the ship is hit without any single evidence. And it is not very supspect since we are going to the asteriod cluster, and you know, it's full of asteriods. We will redirect a bunch of asteriods. Of course, the Alliance escort fleet is going to evade some of our asteriods. But with enough luck, we are going to hit some of them, and knock down a small ship. And I'm sure they're not going to shoot asteriod. Since, you know. Shooting a big asteriod will result in it explode into fragment, and you will have small thousand asteriods heading to everywhere, which is even worse. Maybe they can shoot some small asteriods, but with bigger one, well. Shooting it would mean more dissaster.

Cutter(voice from telephone): So what are we gonna do with that small ship? Ain't ya said the objective is to capture the freighter?

KTKM: Hey, easy there, folks. You'll need to capture 2 small ships first. Since you know, if we knock out frieghters, they wouldn't left  freighters with valueable object alone in the space for pirates i'm sure. But for a small warship? Well, that's different. It usually be Light Cruiser, Destoryer and Friggate. So you wouldn't have problem capture them. After you capture it, we are going to repair the damage, then sail as fast as we can to the Alliance escort fleet. There's a report that the ship is escort by at least a battleship, and you know, battleship is slow. So they couldn't keep the speed as same as small ship like Light cruiser, destoryer , friggate, or whatever we are going to capture.

Switchblade(voice from telephone): And let me guess....you are going to use that '2 small ships' to capture the frieghters....

KTKM: Exactly! With the short-range warp between the ship, we can just teleport our "Privateer" to the freighters, jam the communication, jam the radar, jam the system or whatever it is we are going to jam. Then attempt to escape from the fleet in that moment.

Cutter(voice from telephone): But what if anything gone wrong, we can't just escape like easy as plan, ain't it?

KTKM: Your "Privateers" wouldn't sail the ship to escape alone. You will need to send some cloak ships to ambush the escort fleet, making the Alliance escort fleet to be confuse and pay less attention to the freighters. Anddd Vola! If we are lucky enough. The frieghters full of privateers will escape the Alliance escort fleet, and leave no evidence behind that ADF or Torpedo dealer group are behind this. And we can just blame it to pirate. Because all pirates are look the same, Even thought you are not pirates anymore but....anyway.... so they wouldn't know what groups of pirate are attacking them, even if they know...Well, not my problem or ADF problem anyway. It's YOUR problem.

Switchblade(voice from telephone): So...you are hiring us to steal some freighters from the Alliance to you?

KTKM: To the ADF, yes. We need something in that cargo, don't ask furthur more why, because I don't know too.

Switchblade(voice from telephone): I must say that the price of 70,000 credits is still too low. This is a risk privateer mission, even for our crews.

Cutter(Voice from telephone): Yeahhh, It's not gonna worth it at this price

KTKM: Okay, 120,000.

Switchblade(voice from telephone): Wait, wait wait wait. Why the hell you are rising the price too easy?

KTKM: Meh, I'm not the one who pay the bills anyway. It's Whalecow and his ADF people, not me. So ask the price as you like.

Cutter(voice from telephone): 150,000?

KTKM: Sure, why not.

Switchblade(voice from telephone): No, 250,000 credits.

KTKM: Allright, 250,000 is high enough thought. Don't ask too high, Whalecow will think I'm faking this.

Cutter(voice from telephone): I'm okay with this, what about you?

Switchblade(voice from telephone): Good enough to get risk, I think.

Cutter(voice from telephone): Well then, deal?

KTKM: Deal. 250,000 of credits. Make sure you send your "Privateers" enough for this mission, we will meet your crews at rendezvous point, It will be near Asteroid Cluster Epsilon-327 , Galactic Sector D-5. Okay? I'll send coordinate data to you where the rendozvous point is. Good luck to you.

Cutter(voice from telephone): Good luck to you too.

Switchblade(voice from telephone): make sure you pay it, alright?

(And they end the phone call.)

KTKM: Gahhh, and I'm talking too long again. Damnit. The payphone is gonna cost us a lot again.

Helmsman: Sir, It just a few credits...

KTKM: Few? FEW? Imagine if that few credits waste everyday and everyday, comrade! If you want to become a milionaire, you gotta save EVERYTHING you can. See?

Helmsman: (sight) Very well, then. But will Whalecow is going to be please with this?

KTKM: He expect us to just 'light the matchstick' but not drop it to the Nuclear Reactor-....I mean the Powder keg. With this plan, all we have to do is redirect the asteriod for those pirates. And they will get the job done for us. Easy, right? And the Alliance would jus think "Oh, the pirates steal our ships! We gotta get more protection to our fleet and attack more nearby pirate bases!" And wouldn't supspect ADF at all. Furthermore, I'm not paying the bills. The ADF is.

Helmsman: I wonder why Captain Whalecow did not hire that group by himself...

KTKM: Maybe he don't know about this group much, remember? We are the only one who made the contact for them in the last mission, and the only one who meet face-to-face with them, and somehow can contact them because we ask them for the FTL-Transmission reciever numbers.

Helmsman:...So...how are we going to make a profit with this?

KTKM: Easy. First, we are just going to look at the frieghter we captured. And look for something useful, if there's anything, we'll just take a little bit of it....Second, send the massage to Whalecow about this mission, said that we ask Havoc for help, and the Havoc ask for money to support them in return. Then said that we already paid them. Yep, we need to paid it first.

Helmsman: .....and?

KTKM: and then send the bills as 'mission cost' to Leader Whalecow. Made it 400,00 credits.

Helmsman: 400,000 credits?

KTKM: Yep, of course, we are going to pay the Havoc only 250,000 credits as in the deal. For another 150,000 credits we got? Well, that's our 'profit'.

Helmsman:...........well......

KTKM: Well, I said before we join the ADF for profit, not chairty. So this is our "Profit". Futhermore....

Helmsman: Futhermore?

KTKM: I'm an asshole.

Helmsman: Uh.....well...

KTKM: Yes, An Asshole that need more profit (laugh).

Helmsman: Very well, As a crew of Torpedo dealer group, I cannot interrup it. Althought It is a very asshole action.

KTKM: Good, now send the massage to Whalecow that we need 400,000 credits and  get us to the rendezvous point.

Helmsman: Yes, sir.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Anddd We are going alone, again!
KTKM: Anddd we are going alone again, like the last mission.

Helmsman: Apparently, it looks like we are taking the mission that every ADF members are avoid.

KTKM: ....Well, At least I still have you, (look at a Type-94 Oxygen torpedo near The office's cabinet) Right, Torpy?

The Type-94 Oxygen Torpedo named 'Torpy' didn't answer. It is inaminamted and quiet as always.

Helmsman: Well.....
[close]

Ah, also. If you think the amount of credits is too high or anything, please warn me. I'll try to decrease it to the resonable amount

I just wanna clear a thing or two up here.
One, transporter technology doesn't exist in the Sunrider universe.
Two, 400k is quite a lot for just a few transport ships. Sunrider probably woulda gotten paid maybe 5k for that.

----------
Captain's Office. Legion. En route to Nielson's nebula.

(Ava had just walked in on Whalecow and handed him a message. It is from KTKM, explaining the business deal he had put together with Havoc.)
Whalecow: That's a hell of a lot of money...
Ava: Maybe we should... call them and confirm?
Whalecow: Yeah. Let's do that. (into the empty air) Computer! put out an IP transmission to Havoc's contact number.
Computer: (in a calm male voice) Yes, captain. Please stand by.
Ava: I can't say I've heard the computer's voice that often.
Whalecow: He's a bit shy as far as computers go. Every ship, especially one this big, has a computer system. Though most are not as... vociferous.
Ava: Okay. Question two. Why not call Havoc yourself?
Whalecow: I WAS actually going to drop them a line, but I guess KTKM beat me to it. (laughs)
Ava: But 400k? That just seems like a load of...
(The connection is complete and the holgram projector on the desk activates, cutting Ava off.)
Cutter: (appears on hologram) Ah, hey Mr. Legion. Whaddaya want? Don't tell me ya wanna cancel our deal?
Whalecow: Nah, we'd love your help. Just confirming a few small details before the operation commences.
Cutter: Ah, okay. What details?
Whalecow: Mostly just one, actually. How much did KTKM say we're paying you?
Cutter: Well... I said 150k, but Switchblade said 250K and asked a question about your daughter...
Whalecow: Back it up. What about my daughter? I mean... the money? Did you say 250K?
Cutter: Yeah. Is that a problem?
Whalecow: None of yours. Thanks for your time and I like forward to working with you in the future.
Cutter: Yeah... back atcha.
(At this, Whalecow cuts the transmission.)
Ava: (after a while of silence, she speaks up) Sir... you don't suppose KTKM is embezzling that extra 150K?
Whalecow: I... wouldn't put it past him.
Ava: So how much should we send him?
Whalecow: (thinks for a bit) Send him 200 thousand credits.
Ava: But that's not what was agreed upon, sir.
Whalecow: Tough. Cutter said they would do it for 150K, and whatever KTKM does with the rest, I don't honestly care. I hate embezzlement, Ava. It reminds me why I joined PACT all those years ago.
Ava: I see. I think I understand.
Whalecow: Thanks, Ava. We'll be approaching the target within the next 4 hours.
Ava: *sigh* Let's just get this shit-storm over with.

I see, so Legion will arrive in 4 hours at the target area. Looks like Legion wasn't too far off from the target location. Cosette is waaaaaay farther though, but since she uses wormhole travel (which is the standard for Void Faction) she will travel a lot faster. However, she will make a short stop somewhere before continuing on her way towards Legion. I think she'll arrive somewhere in between your mission. I'll wait until your next post to get things in order Whalecow, that way I can synchronize.

Btw, it seems I didn't edit my EX post fast enough, but those convoys are well guarded, even if it is medium sized for subtlety. So the money cost will be expensive for hiring Havoc for such a risky mission, plus it's pirates with their ships against military grade warships, but 400,000 is indeed quite a lot, no arguments there.

Also, we should stabilize the money scale later. Otherwise it will look inconsistent, since Spy nonchallantly bet 20k credits on poker, & the 100,000 credits stolen at the early posts also shows that money scale on this thread is rather different but also justified & makes a lot more sense in my opinion. Personally I find it ridiculous that an Alliance cruiser can be hired for only 2,000 credits, that is just cardboard cheap since the lowest value for currency is 1 credit, since the ship itself is supposed to cost a lot more. York also mentioned on skype that the Ashen Wings costs in the millions. The Solaris itself is also pretty high up the cost, I wouldn't be surprised if the cost was a million credits, since it is a Carrier-Dreadnought.

In the meantime, I'll be posting the next move of my faction in my next post.

Yup. Just talked to York on skype. Legion would cost in the hundreds of millions, Ashen Wings is even more expensive, & the Solaris itself is not too far behind, with all those upgrades on it. Makes sense in my opinion. So now we have a base to work on. :P

And yes, there is only 1 Ashen Wings, I know that much.

I have a couple of questions about how much stuff is worth to help me grasp what a credit is worth.
  • How many credits would be equivalent to $30,000 USD?
  • How much would a standard ryder cost?

Please be careful not to fall into any holes in reality caused by my reality hole generator. If you do fall in though, I can assure you that there will be no adverse side effects except for the following: instantaneous mutation, loss of 1 or more vital organs, turning into banana pudding, amnesia, loss/growth of 1 or more limbs, additional vital organs, loss of DNA, insanity, hallucinations, destruction of the fabric of space and time, redundancy, redundancy, a craving for apples, the ability to see shinigami, for females: an erection lasting more than 4 hours, for males: extremely painful menstrual cramps, testicular inversion, gender swapping, the urge to watch my little pony, and/or death

I have a couple of questions about how much stuff is worth to help me grasp what a credit is worth.
  • How many credits would be equivalent to $30,000 USD?
  • How much would a standard ryder cost?

Hmm... If you don't mind my own estimations, then here is my guess:

1. Dunno about this one, since credits are universal currency & is of higher value than dollars. The Legion itself costs hundreds of millions of credits, maybe even a billion. So I dunno what $30,000 is worth in credits.

2. A ryder huh... My guess is around 20,000 credits each, for the standard one at least. Well, maybe... I dunno. Special ones will of course be more expensive. If compared to the real world, an F-22 Raptor fighter jet of the U.S cost $150 million each, including operational cost. The newest Aircraft Carrier of the U.S cost as much as $26.8 billion. So yeah...

Well, this is just my estimation. We are planning to stabilize the scale though, so maybe wait a bit until it's done. We need to talk it over with Whalecow first. We're currently discussing this part since it is an important point. It's not set yet, I'll get back to you once it's stabilized.

The only way to truly hurt a man, is to take everything that he valued and degrade it and remind him of it everyday of his life. But by doing this, you also create a monster, and you will regret ever harming that man, because he will be your greatest horror.

I'm gonna act soon as well. But this time, it's unlikely that our paths will cross. We did get yet another threat from a certain other party and Cosette might be up for a rematch. Stay tuned for the outcome of our AI research, it will make dealing with me a bit more different ;)

Okay, mission launch time.

----------
The Matchstick And the Powder Keg. (And A Nuclear Reactor I Suppose)

(Kitakami exits warp and is immediately greeted by a good-sized pirate fleet, which trains weapons on him on arrival. All around are rather large space rocks. Seeing the ship's identity however, the pirates promptly power their weapons down.)

Cutter: (on comm) Hey, Mr. ADF Rep! You made it! We were starting to get worried about being paid. Oh, and freedom and justice and all that ship. We've tracked the enemy fleet and projected their course. In other words, say the word and we can be on top of them in minutes. But first there's the matter of our payment. I believe we agreed on... 250K, all in advance?

(KTKM looks a bit trepidatiously at the case with only 200K in it. This is about to get very awkward, very dangerous, or with Far Away Space luck, both.)

(Okay, so do the money deal, then get on with the mission I guess. I am unsure how to advance with this one, as I don't know what KTKM's character is really like yet.)

----------
20/20

(the instant the ADF fleet enters the Library system, it comes under fire from a still-active AI defense group. The fleet pushes forward steadily through the carnage until they are close enough to go planetside. At that point, Velora hails everyone at once and skips straight to business.)

Velora: Attention Fleet Leaders! Operation: Table Of Contents is go! Assemble your strike forces and get into that facility! Our goal is complete pacification of enemy forces and total control of this planet! Take as many soldiers as you need, but remember, no one is expendable! Legion out!)

----------
Sorry about the shortness, but I'm wrestling with a few things right now.

Took long enough, but holydays. Let's get this thing going, shall we?

------------------------
"20/20"
Sanguinem, Bridge.

The Sanguinem sepparates from Legion, arriving to the planet that the crew simply call "The Library". As soon as they arrive, they detect the active AI defenders.

Lucca: (Standing in front of Spy, supervising the bridge. She turns around.) Sir, arrival to The Library has been confirmed. We have also detect signatures of some AI piloted vessels moving in our direction,. Awaiting for orders, sir.

Spy: Hmmph... They mst have been left active after the first group of the ADF arrived. Stay close to the formation with Legion, we'll just offer fire support... (He gets up from the command chair) Lucca, assume control of the ship and prepare a couple of droppods with assault troopers, I'm going in.

Lucca: Yes, sir... Stay safe. (She turns back to the brige.) Power to weapons! Let's scrap tthose things!

The ships of the ADF advance steadely, guns blazing, and the automated defenses are dealt with in minutes. As soon as Velora makes the announcement, there are 3 droppods ready in the Sanguinem's hangar, along with 3 squads of 7 troopers each. The man and women in black unforms with helmets, rapidly get in the pods, only a woman with short black hair, and half he head shaved, walks towards Spy in the hangar bay.

Straken: (Salutes, then takes pace and walks besides Spy towards a pod.) Sergeant Straken, reporting and ready for the operation "Table of Contents".

Spy: (Adjusting a glove on his left hand.) Very well. Evetything ready? Are we in time?

Straken: (As they enter the droppod.) Yes, but we took 1.43 minutes longer than estimated because of you, Captain. My men and me don't appreciate that.

Spy: (Sitting and getting belts on like everyone else) I can remind you these are also my men, Sergeant Straken... You are all that impatient to get in battle?

Straken: No. It's just that the earlier we start, the faster we'll finish. I don't lie the idea of bein at the mercy of ryuvian warmachines.

Lucca: (On comms) All battlegroups, you are being deployed instantly. Secure a Landing Zone for the rest of the ADF to come in, and remember: You are the first to go in and the last to come out. Good Luck.

Straken: (As she puts a breather mask) She sure knows how to give orders...

The hangar bay gets opened, and the 3 droppods are launched directly towards the library, breaking atmosphere.

Spy: (Shouting in the breather over the noise) If this was longer I could fall asleep!

Straken: With a little luck, you won't!

Finallly the 3 pods crash through the ceiling of the library, creating a shockwave that pushes the humanoid ryuvian droids away, and throwing enough shards to damage a good couple of them. As soon as all the doors open, and troops rush out of them with modified assault laser rifles, tuned to a frecuency high enough to penetrate most shields.

Straken: (Still with noise and pain in her ears, as she removes the breather mask and starts shooting on everything that moves) Death Company, follow me! Eliminate everything that you think that moves, but try to keep the datadisks safe!

Drone: (Recovers from the impact and moves back up) Warning: Intruders detected on facility. Solution: Extermintate.

Spy: (Blasts the Drone's head with a heavy custom magnum.) Clear this room, fast! It's big enough for two gunships to get down! Place a beacon and make this out stronghold, on the double! (He jumps over cover, drawing his sword, and starts slashing more of the oncoming drones, but they seem to keep coming, still)

Straken: (Fills up with holes one of the drones behind Spy to get his attention.) Sir! Beacon has been deployed and we can hold this position, more or less! We have two wounded!

Spy: Then that will have to do! Cover me! (He slashes vertically down on one of the droids, then jumps back inside cover, calling onto the Legion.) I'm Spy. We have secured an LZ on the library and a strong position. (A exolosion occurs behing him.) More or less... You are safe to come now. (A bullet from one of the Droids pass besides his head.) I said cover, dammit!

Whalecow: Who told him to go down ahead of us? Velora?

Velora: (shrugs her shoulders) Not me.

Whalecow: *sighs*

Spy: I do all of this for you, and this is how I get paid? Very well, I don't feel hurt at all.

Straken: (Takes cover besides him) That sounds like a non related call, sir!

Whalecow: (dryly) If you manage to live, I'll buy you a drink.

Straken: This is totally not related to work!

Spy: How about ya'll come down here instead?!

Whalecow: If you had waited 5 minutes... We're coming, we're coming.

Spy: Dammit, Whalecow... Just follow the beacon we planted. This room will be secured when you get to ground. (He closes the communications.) You have heard, Death Comapny! We have less than 3minutes to secure this room and the next one! Scrap these droids!

---------------------

So, yeah. This is all I got at the moment. Here ya go.
